I have been to Tech and got treated much worse than this assbag and this game was no smashing it was decided by two stupid fumbles. Listening to all of you makes me want to throw up. There are fans on both sides of the fence that act like complete idiots. For anyone from VA Tech to claim that they have classy fans is toooooo hilarious. I went to VA Tech and their crappy stadium when I was in the Pride of WV....a real marching band I might add. As we were marching into the stadium some of the more classy VA Tech fans chose to throw rubber chickens. Even more of them decided to spit at us and the fans who hadn't finished their beverages decided to throw the remaing liquid down upon our unsuspecting heads.....So, don't tell me that VA Tech has classy fans. In my book they have "some" of the most IGNORANT fans in the book. Oh, and one more reminder before someone calls West Virginia residents, graduates or students, Hillbillies.....the two states were once, ONE.....so what was once Virginia is now called West Virginia, but it is all one in the same. Cross the border and you really can't tell you have......so, shut up, realize every team has "some" louzy fans....and have fun falling on your face before you ever get to play for a national championship. (almost like you did in Morgantown in 2003...hehehehehe)

All time series records are great. For historians. Let's look at some of our other series records: against Army 1-5, Duke 6-7, Kentucky 6-11-2, Navy 3-7, Princeton 0-3. You think any of those teams would point to their "series dominance" today to jusify getting doubled on the score board on their own home field. Doubtful. And in case you missed the subtlety, yes I did just compare WVU's dominance to the likes of Army, Duke, Kentucky, Navy and Princeton. Not in the classroom, of course.

And thanks for the words of wisdom about not getting cocky. Even without our rivals, the taste of late season collapses is still fresh in our mouths. We'll just enjoy this while it lasts.

I can't defend some of the moronic stuff that Mountaineer fans do/have done. I don't think that the metropolis of Blacksburg is immuned to this either.

I can, however, defend the WVU program. Chris Henry, who was the best player WVU had last year was suspended for flipping the bird. I also can't remember the last time WVU had anyone on their roster that had sex with 15 year olds and gave them booze - much less half the team (Imoh, Vick, etc.) I also can't remember any drugs, or anything else like that. I know why I can't remember. It didn't happen or the play was booted.

Near Blacksburgh. 100 X's the hillbilly, redneck culture than any part of WV that I have been too and I've been all over the state.

Bottom line, if you jokers don't win the Big East EVERY year, you're even more pitiful than the rest of the country already thinks you are. Last year, Utah was insulted to play Pitt in a BCS bowl. And this year, if you guys win out, I'm sure Miami would be just as insulted to have worked so hard against quality teams all season to be "rewarded" with a game against WVU.

Hell, finishing third in the ACC and having the chance to play a quality SEC team in the Peach Bowl would be better.

You have some points about the Big Least, but I believe that WV was threatened with legal action by none other than the Fighting Gobblers when the administration toyed with the idea of joining the ACC.

The fact is WV is competitive with VT and Miami in football and luckily for VT, they don't have to face the Mountaineers in B-ball.

I'm sure those nightly butt kickings in basketball will make the move to the ACC that more satisfying for you.

Last season, our first in the ACC, we split series with Clemson, Duke, GA Tech, Maryland, Miami, NC State and Viriginia. Dominant? I wouldn't say that. But I wouldn't call them nightly butt kickings, either.

On closer inspection, I discovered that we even beat you guys the last two times we played. And that was when we were REALLY bad. You know, before we were in the ACC getting our butts handed to us every night.

I actually find matching wits with you quite easy. Then again, I also find it easy to do a little research before I open my mouth and prove myself to be a jackass.

Why don't you take a look at just about every single anti-Hokie posting on this thread and you'll notice that there aren't many that don't attack VT and the people who went there and live in the region. For that matter, I believe they were all posted because we did beat you guys. So jump down off your high horse.

And nice research into our passing statistics. I could've saved you a lot of time though and told you we can't pass the ball, we haven't been able to do that for the past three years. It's simply the fact that teams know we're going to run the ball and still can't stop it that makes it so impressive. Could that all change against Georgia? Sure it can. Are we favored to win? Of course not. I'll be the first to tell you we don't get the respect we deserve and until we can prove it in a big Bowl Game then we won't get it. This is a big opportunity for West Virginia and the Big East to prove we belong in the BCS. Pittsburgh was a pitiful excuse for a BCS team last year, and we got beaten by Florida State in the Gator Bowl. Just the fact that we made it this far is enough for me, but I know it won't be enough for critics like you who will continue to belittle our program and state.

It seems that once the football arguments were of no use you resorted to other things because you had no argument.
And in response to your, "By the way, it's easy to say whatever you want to when you don't the sack to identify yourself, Anonymous." I'm sorry I "don't the sack" (I'm assuming a slight typo on your part here) to identify myself because it doesn't matter anyway. Anonymous means about the same as dperks.

Sorry to hear you feel that you have no identity.

Look back through the other posts and you'll see that I too made the comment that we would enjoy our run while it lasted and all that good stuff. It was other WVU fans that turned the whole thing personal.

It's been my experience no matter where I've gone that rivalry chatter eventually degrades into "your momma" comments of some sort or another from both sides. Does that make it right? No. Is it just the nature of two opposing fans who both care very deeply about their respective teams? Yep. If you can't handle it, that's too bad.

The football trash talk is pretty much played out, as well. So maybe this thread will finally limp to a close.

I completely agree with you on that. Things do turn personal and usually for all the wrong reasons. I respect your love of your school and your willingness to defend it.

I've been to WVU twice. Both times I spent more time dodging pee, vomit, sludge puddles than I did walking from point a to point b. That's all I'm saying. As far as your comment about me probably making the video, that doesn't even make sense.

Let it go, man. It's over. You guys got a nice win in the Sugar Bowl. We got a nice win in the Gator Bowl that had the added bonus of helping us get rid of the trouble maker.
